Parsifal in Prague

Inside Prague National Theate

I was lucky to sing the first flowermaiden in Parsifal in the beautiful theater “Národní divadlo” with Prague Opera recently. It was great to visit the wonderful city of Prague. And I had the privilege to be shown all around the city by John Fiore, the conductor of Parsifal, and his lovely friends Cynthia and Lucy. The performance was directed by Jirí Herman, a wonderful young director and former artistic director of Prague National Theater Opera. He was was very helpful and supportive.  It was truly a memorable visit.

Mozart Great Mass in c-minor and Requiem critic

I thought Thora Einarsdottir was absolutely fantastic both in the Requiem and the c-minor Mass. I think she has the kind of voice that suits Mozart's music extremely  well. And the highlight was the long solo aria "Et incarnatus est" which is a great marathon for the 1.soprano and she sang it with  such artistry that it was breathtaking. It was simply fabulous. The Magic Flute-critics

“Thora excelled without doubt as Pamina, which comes as no surprise considering her recent performances. She is frankly speaking wonderful in the role… .”

DV, Jón Viðar Jónsson

“Thora was the star of the evening. She is excellent!”

Djöflaeyjan, RUV

Cultural television-program

“Some singers filled the big hall better than others. Best of all Sigrún Hjálmtýsdóttir and Thora Einarsdottir…..Thora acted and sang with excellence and showed unexpected intimacy in the second act aria”

Morgunblaðið

“ Most of the singers were fantastic. Gardar Thór has never been better and his voice sounded great in the hall’s acoustic, as well did Thora Einarsdottir who was a real joy to listen to.”

Fréttabaðið

“Most of the singing was good, some of it fantastic. The highlights of the evening were the duet between Pamina and Papageno when he saves her from Monostatos and the Pamina’s moving, sad aria when she thinks that Tamino no longer loves her.”
